Chance meeting with a most wonderful family at Brisbane Airport – 17th April 2014

It was the best of chance meetings….

On a recent trip to Brisbane with my lovely wife Tracy, I was lucky to have had a chance meeting with the most wonderful of former families of the Lower Hutt Dojo….

The Feagaiga family of Vao, Fea, Marcus and Damian moved to Brisbane in April 2012 and it was so nice to give them all big hugs at Brisbane Airport as we waited for our check in activities…

One of my all time favourite juniors Damian has grown into a very handsome and mature young man…and his older brother Marcus excelling with his sports by being chosen to attend a representative softball camp in Auckland over the Easter Holiday period…

Great to see you all looking so well and doing so well living in Brisbane….hope to see you all sometime again sometime soon….

Love to you all

Another Black Belt to the Szeto Family – 19th April 2014

It was wonderful news when I received notification from Australia that my beautiful niece Bex had passed her Black Belt grading….and even more wonderful that she was able to pay a flying visit home over the Easter break…

Bex who trains with Sei Shihan Ino at his famous Seido Dojo in Broadway, Sydney had to endure a month long grading process at the Dojo before being allowed to participate in the final stages of the grading during the Australian Seido Black Belt Camp outside of Sydney….

Well done Bex, we are all so very proud of you and your wonderful achievement….

Thank you to Sei Shihan Ino and all his students at Seido Broadway Dojo for your guidance and encouragement of Bex…..

Warmest regards to you all….

“Truly Inspirational” Junior Martin Parker inspires all at Dojo– 28th April 2014

He’s only 8 years old and full of enthusiasm and true grit and determination…..

Despite having moderate cerebral palsy and not being able to walk or stand unaided, Martin is the absolute epitome of a true karate-ka…

While physically supported by his father Brett during Saturday morning classes the pair get to participate in and enjoy the challenges of the class along with everyone else…

Such is Martin’s enthusiasm and positivity when training that he has now encouraged his little sister Natasha to join in as well…

The Parkers are one of our Dojo’s most truly inspirational families…Well done to you all, Mum Kitty, Dad Brett, twin brother Eric and little sister Natasha….

Welcome to my Shave For a Cure Fundraising Message….

I've decided to do this crazy thing for an amazing cause and set myself a fundraising target to achieve of $800

Shave for a Cure is Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand's signature fundraising event.

Every year thousands of individuals, schools and businesses across the country whip out the clippers and shave their locks in a bid to help the 6 Kiwis a day diagnosed with a blood cancer or related condition..

Shave-tasticLBC receives no government funding.

Please sponsor me and help me support this great cause.

It's simple, fast and totally secure.

Just go to the link and click the 'sponsor' button to your right on my Shave Fundraising page, whip out your credit card, and LBC will email you a receipt directly.

I will be having my Head Shaved on Sunday March 23rd at 2pm at Rodney Wayne Hairdressers Queensgate Mall, Lower Hutt

Many thanks for your support……
