“SEIDO Spirit Never Stronger” – Gradings are a Blessing, a Celebration of One’s Unique Individuality and a Reinforcing of Dojo Togetherness – Grading 8th August 2024

It is often expressed to every student that karate-do is a journey….

A journey that will be unique to you….and along that journey there will be lessons within the lessons and learnings to be discovered and understood over the fullness of time….

The meaning of gradings will change, they will become blessings and celebrations of the unique individuals that we each are and become special occasions where each Dojo’s culture of togetherness is reinforced…

Thursday night the convergence of 10 different individuals and their journeys, a true a reflection of the above….

“SEIDO Spirit Never Stronger”

Karate technique aspiring towards perfection, Physicality reaching exhaustion, Emotion released through KIAI and OSU, and Love expressed towards your life partners and family without reservation….

A memorable night indeed…OSU….Congratulations heartfelt and embraced by all present….

Slow Start but Wonderful Finish to Juniors Grading – Thursday 7th December 2023

It was a slow start to the grading, but it ended with a wonderful finish for the group of brother and sister, and sister and sister…

Shyness seemed to be the biggest challenge to overcome at the beginning of the grading for this talented group of juniors…

Their budo spirits expressed with the quietest of OSU’s and KIAI’s at the start….

However, encouraged by their fellow juniors and their loving parents, the group of brother and sister and sister and sister soon expressing their budo spirits with loud and committed OSU’s and KIAI’s…

Loud Budo expression a must for all our students as they develop their voices as young people and teachers of the future…

So very rewarding to see and hear so loudly their newly found self-confidence and trust in themselves as wonderful young people…

Thank you to all your amazing class instructors, your encouraging fellow junior students and loving parents….

Keep up the hard work and training…..you are such awesome young karate-ka…

“Truly Inspirational” – Senpai Phil Broadley Nidan Grading Success 6th December 2023

You are a “Truly Inspiring Human Being” Senpai Phil Broadley…

We take so many things for granted in our everyday lives…our health, our families and even just enjoying the small things such as sharing time with friends….

To describe Senpai Phil’s preparation in training for his grading and his sincere dedication to true budo throughout his karate journey as being “superhuman” would be an understatement in the extreme…

“Live each day to the fullest” a daily adage that Senpai Phil truly lives to with sincere gratitude and appreciation…

Despite his long history of chronic health issues and lifesaving surgeries, Senpai Phil continues to endure, inspire, and teach us all about the strengths and frailties of the human spirit….

Thank you for being such an inspiration to us all and in so many ways….
