It was an Amazing one handed, One in a million catch by Lower Hutt Seido Karate dad John Raynor….
Blessed with wearing his lucky Orange “One in a Million” t-shirt and surrounded by his wife Leah and son’s Oliver and Harrison he snatched the catch with a full stretched leaning grab…..

Grading News from Seido Karate Melbourne – Success for talented former Lower Hutt junior Jacob Barker Saturday 21st March 2015

We had exciting news over the weekend…one of our former talented juniors, Jacob Barker (now resident with his family in Melbourne) gained grading success at his new Seido Dojo in Melbourne…

Under the watchful eye of Sensei Tome Spasevski, the Dojo’s principal instructor, Jacob was put through his paces and emerged triumphant with grading success…

Proud mum and fellow karate-ka dad Matt were there on the day and sent us these great pictures to keep us all in touch with their karate journey…

Congratulations Jacob…we all miss seeing you all at Lower Hutt Dojo Rachael and Matt….

Talented junior rises to the challenge of solo grading – Thursday 19th March 2015

Well supported by mum and grandma and junior students, talented junior Jerry Bian showed wonderful determination and strength throughout his first grading experience…

Off to China to see family for several months, Jerry asked if he could undergo his grading before he leaves next month….

He certainly rose to the challenge…

Well done Jerry….safe travels and see you when you get back….

Talented Collegiate, Hamish Horan takes aim at higher sporting honours 4th February 2015

Hamish Horan, one of Lower Hutt Dojo’s most talented collegiate aged students has been rewarded with
sporting success in another of his chosen sporting pursuits…”Archery”

Winning double gold in the cadet class target and clout events at the Wellington provincial championships held recently in Wanganui…

Hamish’s sights are now set upon more success at the upcoming Under 20 north island Junior Archery Championships in Rotorua later in the year…

Well done to an outstanding and exemplary karate-ka and young man….
