Right from the start it was “all go” for this talented bunch of Juniors…with challenge after challenge being overcome in their own unique way…

 

As the grading unfolded each student being asked to express what they learnt from each stage of the evening….

 

No surprises here, they each gave their all and emerged tired but thoroughly happy with their super human efforts and energy…

 

Thank you to all families and friends for being there and sharing in their first grading experience…your warm and encouraging support of these wonderful kids was amazing on the night…

It was an evening of Challenge, Hard Work and Non-Quitting Spirit for this Absolutely, Positively Amazing Trio….

 

Despite their very busy schedules with work, after school children’s activities and ever present family commitments, all 3 managed to find the impossible hours of extra time each week to get together in preparation for grading day…..

 

The dedication highlighting their superhuman efforts on the night….Inspiring, personal and uplifting for all in attendance and support…

 

The “SEIDO Spirit” always a pleasure to see, feel and be a part of when individuals give their all as a true expression of themselves in the face of challenge….

 

Congratulations to you each and thank you to your families for allowing you to pursue your study of karate-do with such passion and energy….

 

Gradings are never easy affairs but they are always rewarding and enlightening experiences for all……

It was an emotional ending to a physically challenging grading for this outstanding bunch of young adults….

 

The levels of physicality demanded of them throughout the grading process clearly evident as they stood exhausted in “mokuso” stance with their eyes closed during the final stage of their grading evening…

 

End of grading reflection time always a special time for fellow karate-ka, parents and families….

 

Each grading student speaking with honesty about the challenges in their lives, their love for their families and the special people whom they owe gratitude to for being an important part of their young lives…

 

Sometimes confronting but always heart warming…

 

You are all growing up to be amazing and courageous young adults….

It was a truly “awe inspiring” day where the limitless boundaries of the human spirit were on full display for all in attendance to witness and experience…

 

Despite being pushed to breaking points both physically and emotionally, all 4 individuals always resolute in their self belief and passionate desires to reach the very special milestone achievement of shodan together….

 

Their journeys so firmly supported and shared with the presence of their families, friends and loved ones….made even more special when considering all the extra challenges placed upon you each amidst the frustrating and constantly changing limitations with COVID over the last 2 years…

 

Your efforts on your special day were “Simply AWE Inspiringly Superhuman”…..and so true to the Kaicho’s SEIDO attitude towards life of never giving up no matter the challenges presented in our lives…..
