Recovering Well at Home – Andrew Cunningham

We visited Andrew Cunningham and Sonia Lintern at home today and were pleasantly surprised to see Andrew looking a picture of good health following his quadruple bypass at the beginning of the week

He managed to give us his trademark “Happy face grin” for a photo with his lovely fiancé Sonia sitting by his side

Andrew kept us entertained with his wonderful sense of humour and introduced us all to his new recovery pillow affectionately named Wilson

On behalf of the Lower Hutt Dojo we proudly presented them both with the very generous proceeds of donated cash totalling just over $2,000 and over $600 in groceries and petrol vouchers from the amazing students and families of the Dojo….

Andrew was quite overcome and both he and Sonia have expressed their sincere and gracious thanks to everyone at the Lower Hutt Dojo for their generosity and kind support

Farewell and Good Luck in Australia

Two of the Lower Hutt Dojo’s most loved families are leaving the shores of New Zealand this month to live in Australia.

The Calkin’s moving firstly to tropical Darwin and then to cosmopolitan Melbourne, and the Feagaiga’s moving to sunny sunny Brisbane.

We wish both families only the very best for success and happiness over in the land of Oz and hope that you will return some day to join us at Lower Hutt Dojo once again.

All the very best to Maddy and Damian two of our brightest junior karate-ka talents.

OSU and much love to you all
